Why translate. Just talk.

Why translate everything yourself when yTranslate does it for you, live? Create a room, start speaking, and everyone listening hears it in their own language — in real time.

Why translate?

Because everyone deserves to be understood

Every part of the app is designed around one goal: what you say arrives correctly, in whatever language your listeners chose.

Accurate speech recognition

yTranslate always uses the strongest available speech engine for your language. A handful of languages rely on your device's own recognizer instead — available for speaking if your specific device supports them.

One voice, 20 languages

Listeners each choose their own language from 20 supported. One speaker can reach a room full of people hearing German, Russian, and Chinese at the same time.

Private, PIN-protected rooms

Create a room in seconds, optionally lock it with a PIN, and share the code only with the people you want listening.

Read aloud, not just read

Listeners can have the translation spoken aloud automatically, or just follow along as text — a simple toggle switches between the two, anytime.

Pick up where you left off

Your last few rooms are saved on your device, ready to resume — no need to share a brand new code every time you reconnect with the same people.

Stays connected

If a connection drops mid-conversation, yTranslate recovers automatically. Sessions only end when you decide to stop.

Free to listen, simple to speak

Anyone can join and listen for free with just a room code. Only the speaker draws down a simple credit balance — refilled monthly on a plan, or topped up anytime.

Made for real conversations

Toggle it on and just talk — no push-to-talk, no re-starting between sentences. yTranslate keeps up with you.

Languages

20 languages, every room

Every listener can pick any of these 20 languages, on every plan, always. Most are also available for speaking out of the box — a handful depend on your specific device's own speech recognizer.

device means speaking support depends on your phone's built-in recognizer — listening works the same either way.

How it works

Four steps to a live conversation

The order matters here — this is the actual sequence of a yTranslate session, start to finish.

  1. Create a room

Pick your speaking language, name your room, and optionally add a PIN — or resume one of your last few rooms in one tap.

  2. Share the room code

Send the code to anyone you want listening — they'll choose their own language when they join, for free.

  3. Start speaking

Turn the room on and talk naturally. yTranslate keeps listening through pauses, no need to restart.

  4. Everyone hears their language

Each listener sees a live translated feed in the language they picked — and can have it read aloud, simultaneously, in real time.

Pricing

One credit balance. No surprises.

FAQ

Common questions

When is yTranslate launching?

We're putting the finishing touches on yTranslate for both iOS and Android. This page will update with real download links the moment we launch — no waitlist needed, just check back.

Do listeners need credits too?

No — only the speaker's credit balance is used. Anyone can join a room and listen for free with just the room code.

What happens if my language isn't supported for speaking?

For the 5 languages not covered by our primary speech engine (Russian, Polish, Korean, Thai, Ukrainian), yTranslate falls back to your device's own speech recognizer. Whether you can speak one of those depends on what your specific device supports — if it doesn't, that language won't appear as a speaking option for you. Listening is unaffected either way: all 20 languages are always available to listen in.

How many listener languages can one room support, and does it cost more?

Every plan supports all 20 listening languages in the same room — a single room can have listeners hearing German, Russian, and Chinese simultaneously. Each additional distinct language active at once does use credits a little faster (30 extra credits per hour per language), since more translation work is happening in real time.

What happens if my credits run out mid-conversation?

Speaking pauses and you'll see a clear prompt to top up — nothing about the room, the conversation, or what you were just saying is lost, and you can resume speaking as soon as you add credits.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings (depending on where you subscribed), and remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Is my room private?

Yes. Rooms can be PIN-protected, and only people with your room code can join as a listener.
